The Boston Sparks Association is currently recruiting new members to join the association to participate in the A-10 Rehab/Canteen Unit that serves the Greater Boston Area, if you are interested in community service, the fire department and have a desire to provide a crucial support element to the fire departments in our area please apply today.
The BSA has been in existence since 1938 and has provided the canteen and now rehab services to the area fire departments since 1960.
The aspect of volunteering is very satisfying work and provides a great service to the firefighters in our area when they need it most. This is a fast paced environment and requires dedicated individuals willing to report for duty at a moment’s notice. The rewards are camaraderie and the satisfaction of proving a much needed service to the public safety agencies in the Metro Boston area.
Must work well with others in a team environment
Must be willing to respond to incidents 24/7/365 on assigned on-call dates
Must have a clean driving record and valid drivers License
Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license
Must submit to a C.O.R.I. and background check
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must pass interview and background investigation
Must be willing to attend regular training sessions
Must be comfortable working in a high stress public safety based scenario
Training, uniforms and equipment provided to team members
Membership in good standing of the association is a requirement
